Isn't that what you were going for? No seriously. The guy on top (not like that) has his hand on something or other.

Christ this is good. Like really really good.

I've never found a brush I'd like yet - those series 7's that we were suggested to use always felt like crap to me (though I suspect it's more to do with me having the brush dexterity of a hobbled chimp and a heavy hand.) Do you still stick with those or did you ever find a different type?

That motorcycle and smoke are just awesome, by the way. I always like that solution to smoke.

Aw shucks  thanks!

I started using Escodas just because they're cheaper, but I now actually like the quality better now too. It's the same kind of deal, as long as you take care of them, they can be used for both fine lines and dry brush texture really well. I use 2, 4, and 6 sizes. My 2 is just now starting to lose its super fine point after 3 years...but it's still great for line work, just not fine detail. Brush takes a lot of practice and a lot of frustration--even now, but I think it's worth it. As I would tell my classes, it's the inking tool that offers the least amount of control, but the most versatility.

Inking smoke has to be the most fun thing ever--especially compared to inking that effing motorcycle--glad you like man!

Oh, Escodas are nice - I use them for watercolors all the time. Great snap. The line I'm using are prados. They've got really full bellies and are synthetic sables, but it tapers really sharply into a tip, so I've always been hesitant about linework with them. They're good for chunk marks though, and that's something I've always liked. What ones do you use?

I don't know their name, per se, but I know they're of the 1212 series. Like I said, great for lines and great for dry brush (especially the size 6)
